This is another exercise from my course. Using the same pictures used in the comic (see my gallery), I had to asseble them, this time.. in the form of a collage.
Done entirely in Photoshop. I manipulated the individual photos separately (mainly the curves and levels) first. Then I incorporated them together on a canvas that changed size constantly as the collage evolved. The process was very fluid and not restricted by step processes, as the comic panels exercise was. The blending of the layers was mainly acheived by a simple eraser with the hardness set to 4%.
Feel free to say whatever you want about it, as again, i'm looking for critiques to put in my journal. I am especially interested in interpretations of it.
Thanks!!
To me, the plane wing thru the reflection of the camera lens symbolises freedom. Reminds me of the joys of being a freelance photographer!
Through memory, u inverted the 'your desk and room' pic, right? I like the way u 'grained' the lamp's light. Reminds me of the crap vid quality of the Rising Sun VCD MV.

For your piano pic, I can't really say much about it. It's perfect and displays ur creativity and love for music.
That's the end of my random comments.
Well done and keep it up! Good luck at uni.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
To help inspire you this month, #project-improve and #ProjectComment have joined creative and collaborative forces to bring you 'An Image Is Worth A Thousand Words' Contest.
The theme of this contest is pretty much as the title states; we would like you to draw on inspiration for a piece of literature that coincides with an image of your choice. The extent of the involvement of the image is entirely up to you.
Both visual artists and writers can take part, so please read the article to find out more!
